Website relaunch: J. The Jewish News of Northern California

  • Check out the new website — and the clunky old junker they hired me to replace.
  • The relaunch was guided by audience research and strategic advice from RadCampaign of Washington, D.C., which focused on serving the unique hyperlocal information needs of the Bay Area Jewish community.
  • The site runs on WordPress, and was designed and built by Alley Interactive of New York City.
  • The relaunch serves three purposes: 1) It is a major sustainability tool for the publisher, opening up several new earned and contributed revenue streams; 2) it provides a mission-driven information service that strengthens the Bay Area Jewish community; 3) as for me, my dearest hope is that it provides a venue for engaged Jews to conduct humane, productive discourse around divisive issues of doctrine, culture, and the Middle East.
